Peep sight moving poll ~ Just for fun
#21
I'm sure there's something in that question that a non-target shooter won't know... but I can't figure out how there's going to be a change in the POI since sliding the pins in or out won't change the aiming line of sight. Guess I'll stick around long enough to see the answer.

I drew a triangle to represent a drawn bow. I put a dot where I thought the peep would be on the string....and a dot where i thought an extended sight bar would be. I drew a line between those two points.
I then put a dot where I thought the non-extended sight bar would be (1" from the riser) and drew a line between the peep and this new spot.
I then asked myself....."If the bow is sighted in with the upper line (extended bar) and I try to shoot it with my lower line (non extended bar).....where would my arrow hit?".
If I'm wrong....that's why I'm wrong![&:]

Jeff: When we spoke last night, and I referenced guys shooting 90 meters with a 5" sight extension and being VERY accurate, this is why they are shooting 5" sight extensions. To move it out further, they have to drop the scope lower than the arrow will allow them and they end up with fletching/scope contact. So they compromise with a shorter sight bar, and raise the peep a bit so that it maybe isn't 100% solid, but still repeatable.

I moved mine in 1" plus, last night. I'm ordering the correct 45deg angle peep (smaller) today....and I'll get her re-sighted towards the end of the week. Right now....it doesn't matter
