Dubbya, I had a bow limb snap and fold over at full draw. That was quite a shock.

Am I seeing that right? It looks like youhit something off the belly of the limb right in the middle of that splinter.
That white spot that's a 1/2 circle in the center............does it have any texture or feel like an indent? Were you hanging it by that spot or using a pro-pod on that part of the limb? Good news is thats not a "Crack", it's a break in the outer finish and possibly the outermost layer of glass underneath. I've seen splinters before on bows that look exactly like that onebut usually they are on the outside edge of the limb from some sort of impact. When you break the integrity of that outer layer of finish it can peel like that at the width of the spot that was impacted. In any event they have that tell tale mark or dent right in the center of the part that is lifting. |
