Is this site a bowtech site??

Someone mentioned in another post that this site was a bowtech site. Do you think so?? I don't, I mean a lot of guys shoot a bowtech on here, but there are lots of Mathews guys and Hoyt guys, very few guys like me that shoot PSE...:D

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

Although there are alot of Bowtech owners on here, I can't say that anyone has ever tried to push the line on any of those "What should I buy" threads or downgraded anyone else (unless it's just fun with the Mathews guys/girls). It's always, shoot a bunch and buy what you like.

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

I don't think it's a BowTech sight, there are however a few BowTech reps who post here but for the most part they (I feel) are archers and hunters first and BowTech reps second. But due to the number of reps here it does have a "BowTech" feel to it.

Wouldn't go as far as to call it a BowTech sight, but their influence is apparent.

I am not sure, and maybe someone can clear it up. Is Bowtech the official bow of HNI?

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

I agree. Although I have seen the Mathews and Bowtech guys get into a few times, most guys here say to shoot what is comfy!!

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

Im not a Bowtech owner, I have shot one before, but they do make a great bow, maybe the best in my opinion.

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

Yes, it is.

Maybe not Bowtech owned, but it is most definitely a Bowtech heavy forum.

theres a lot of different guys on here with different bows

I think the proportion of Bowtech shooters on this forum matches the proportion of Bowtech shooters in the general hunting and archery population. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as I'm concerned.

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

I mean I don't think the poster was angry about it, but I just see lots of different bows on here. But, there are lots of bowtechers on here and that says a lot about the popularity of the bows.

They are the only archery company that is a sponsor on here(diamond too, but is a bowtech company)and yes, they are the best bow on the market right now.

Thats pretty regional IMO. Around here there are tons of Mathews and Hoyt, Bowtech is catching up, but still not close to Mathews or Hoyt in numbers of shooters.

I'd say this sight has alot of Bowtech shooters, but they dont press anything. The reps have never told someone, that I have seen, that not buying a BT is a bad decision.

Haha to SIMPLY put it YES!! I mean not that there is anything wrong with that but if you cannot clearly see that, I believe ya should look around more.
I shoot a Martin and from my understanding archerytalk is a martin site, but I have no intentions of leaving HNI!!!

Ohhh and you wanna find out how much of a bowtech site it is, start a BOWTECH SUCKSthread once and see what happens and then do the same with a MARTIN BOWS SUCK thread and see how many reply to each..... bet the bowtech one blows up????;)
WHY?? because the majority of people shoot bowtech..... and like I have said before absolutely nothing wrong with that! So dont start yellin at me!

At times it seems that there is a disproportionate number ofBowtech guys on here but for the most part they are harmless.

One thing I have noticed about bowtech shooters as of late is how arrogant a few of them have become.... sort of reminds me Mathews shooters. We used to say that Mathews came with a chip to put on your shoulder at no extra charge... why shouldn't it for such a high price for such an average bow? But some of the attitudes I've seen lately around the 3D courses and the internet lead me to suspect that BowTech might just be the new Mathews when it comes to crazy loyalists.

In all honesty, thats one of the reasons I traded my Allegiance for a Hoyt.

My main problem was with local shooters, especially dealers. Walk into any shop (Sportsman's Warehouse included) with any bow that isn't a Bowtech or a Diamond and the staff working will absolutely give the shooter a hard time about his decision. Pull up to a shoot or a range with any brand sticker other than a Bowtech or Diamond and you'll hear snickers and have jokes thrown your way. It isn't an attitude (locally) that I want to be associated with.

Small reason, but it still played a part in my decision.

*Edited for clarification.

There are no average top end bows

To comment on the arrogance, I'm not too sure where I stand with some of the comments I've taken notice to from some of the people on here, and even moreso on AT. For the most part, the internet is a very hard place to establish an opinion of someone, because things people post/say can easily be taken the wrong way. That being said, it's amazing some of the bickering that goes on here (often the result of hidden/obvious brand loyality), and even more so on AT. There was like a 5 page fight over there the other day on whether or not Dave Cousins truly won vegas because he was shooting fat arrows...simply ridiculous. I sometimes get the same feeling sometimes from people on here, but not really about Bowtech or necessarily from bowtech shooters on here, just some people in general. It's a bit disheartening.

Pot, meet kettle. And that goes for the rest of us. LOL

People,

There are over 114405 members on this site. There are a total of 10 Corporate Staff members, Yes they are all on this website from time to time. Many, many members shoot Bowtech and yes Bowtech sponsors HNI. If you don't want to buy a Bowtech because of that, you have issues that go well beyond my comprehension.

It's a sad day in America when someone cannot speak up for what they believe in. Each member on the Bowtech Corporate staff is there because they love the bow, are they not entitled to an opinion then. Would taking the title off their signature allow them to say, yeah, I feel Bowtech is a top of the line bow?

I don't shoot a Bowtech because I am on their staff, I am on their staff because I believe in their product. I had other options. There is nothing I own I don't feel is a top of the line product from my bows, to my home, to my video camera, vehicle, ATV etc.. I am not allowed to say, I use this because I feel it's the best my money can buy, FOR ME.

I've been a member here for more years than I can remember and never in the history of HNI have I seen it so petty.

I agree, I don't feel too much PUSH to shoot their bows. My comment wasn't directed toward that, and really a lot of the bickering that takes place imho is a result what I stated above:

For the most part, the internet is a very hard place to establish an opinion of someone, because things people post/say can easily be taken the wrong way.
Really if one person believes product A is a great product because they've compared both A with B and C, their opinion is more than welcome in my opinon...and that sounded odd:D

If you tune the fork properly it's music to your ears...

and

As many people will argue "it doesn't matter how loud your bow is if it shoots faster than the speed of sound..." ;)

RE: Is this site a bowtech site??

Yep, there are alot of BowTech shooters on here, but that could be related to the market place. BowTech has been one of the few companies lately that has made big changes/improvements from year to year, and this has caused people to buy their bow. Lets face it, none of us really need to get a new bow every year or even every five years, we do it because its something new, and BowTech seems to be the major company that brings something new to the table year in and year out. When Mathews brought out the LX, it was something so new that it caught a HUGE buzz and was by far the most talked about bow. Same went with Hoyt with the Cam and a Half. Its all about evolution of the bow companies. As soon as another company brings some huge improvement out there will be a large shift to that product and it will become the new "it" bow.

Also, as far as the staff members go, most of them were not officially related to the company when they joined this site. Greg shot Mathews, Rob shot Hoyt, ect.. Once they found the BowTech line and shot them, they were obviously impressed enough to put their reputation behind the company and stand for the company.
