Where would you?
#1
Haven't seen one of these for a while. Im considering where Ill be putting stands up for the upcoming season, and have been looking at this aerial of where I hunt.
Where would YOU hunt it? I can only hunt the area outlined by the red box, used to be able to hunt about twice the amount until 1/2 of it (the plot, the corn, and some more land on the west side) was sold to an outfitter.
The fields have beans generally and are in winter wheat right now. The blue are the creeks and the red dots are my current stands.
Im thinking Ill probably end up putting more along the creek on the east side in between the two fields and also another possibility is up real close to the house- found some massive rubs and that entire corner was completely tore up from about the very corner tip to where the creek comes in.

You might try putting a stand where that creek comes together at a "Y".I see you are already hunting 1 inside corner. You have nothing on the west side close to the outfitter's ground. Try that section and capitalize on the food plot. Down towards the south end of that creek looks like a possible funnel running east and west. I absolutely love funnels during the rut. Just get out and really scout hard this spring and do a lot of glassing during the summer. That will tell you more than anything.

I like thue funnel on the on the bottom of the property to. It provides you with easy access as well and access is key. you could eather park on the road or take the creek down from your house witch would provide you with quiet ans sent free access. It possible.

I would definetly check out the bottom, center area. Right along the border. It looks as if deer may be moving through that pipeline, combine trail orclear cut(hard to tell what it is, but if its open, doe wil be there)and bucks will travel through the edge of the woods during the rut to scent check the doe. That area mayalso act as a little funnel.
I also like the area on the right, up by the house. Those woods are where are how a maturebuck will get from whatever is above the house, down to the woods and the plot.
The bottom right corner, you should hang a stand in the little strip of timber. It makes a nice funnel, especially if that field has any crop. Put yourself between that field and the water

The bottom right corner I will have to look into as well.

This is a pic I had marked with places that I was considering putting stands up before I posted this thread. Not too bad I don't suppose.
The white X's are the spots I was considering before this thread.

I'd look by the yellow dot on this picture. I think this is where others are talking about, as well. Those outside corners of fields are always good, and you have the added benefit of the creek creating a funnel.
Looks great ... good luck!
