I never Turkey hunted b-4 never had anyone to get me into it and not really sure what the hell I would be doing. So my question to you guys is when you see a deer coming in to your stand and your heart is racing....Do you get the same feeling when a turkey closes the distance? Is it the same rush or is it different? I know when I spot deer that 1st intial sighting it takes my breath away I need to calm down and take deep breaths. Is chalked up to be what everyone says it is?

x2! Nothing like Spring whena big tom is gobbling his head off strutting all the way in to your decoy....nothing.

I'd take multiple toms gobbling their head off strutting all the way in to your decoy, over the above situation.[8D]

I'll put it this way..... if I had to choose between giving up deer hunting and giving up turkey hunting.... I'd never miss deer hunting.
I've never elk hunted before, and I think that having a 800# screaming bull elk crashing in to your set up might be more exciting, but other than that, there is nothing NOTHING more exciting than spring turkey hunting. Deer hunting puts me to sleep.
