How does the MeanV tighten into place? Is it a locking nut?

Pretty sad how some people blatantly rip off another company's idea and try to profit from it.

Pretty sad when a mans dislike for another causes him to seek out these threads to bash him. Go down to your local archery store.... There are an assortment of string suppressors on the market, Inever notice you "crying" foul on them. The MeanV is the only custom fit and custom camo suppressor available that I know of.

I can't believe you just said that in defense of him..........classic hypocrisy.

Team Blowtech to the rescue ;)

Truth hurts.........Very comical how when I see threads about companies having to pay royalties for copied aspects of bows (Darton has everyone in their pocket) the overwhelming response is they should have to pay if they copy an idea or product.............guess that logic doesn't apply everywhere.

atlasman, George Trotter made a string suppressor in the late 70's and patented it in 77. Phil Long made the Thumper in the 80's. Saunders made the dead quiet way before anyone ever heard of a STS. Currently there are the Stealth shot, String Tamer, Elite's version, Short stop, APA's version, Fuse's version, Ross's version, Vibekiller, etc., etc. and so on. If you feel a need to single me out be my guest. It really doesn't bother me in the least. I know if you are bugging me you are leaving someone else alone. Enjoy your day Mark, and if you ever need any help with anything don't hesitate to contact me. Anything for a Brother Archer!:D

Who really cares who made the first one? The Mean V is the best looking one out there right now and they WORK!!! For the price you will not find a nicer one.

I agree, I have a Mean V suppressor also. It is amazing how much quieter the bow shoots. Atlas man, why don't you come up with an idea, maybe we'll buy it.

Hey you think that guy like abuses puppies seems pretty angry or jealous.Anyway I bought one of those copied mean sts,s and my bows lack of noise still amazes me,everybody else for that matter.I think it is one well built stream line nice looking out there and I would be happy with it at double the price.Let me see would I rather give my money to a big corpertion or just some private guy who likes to hunt and shoot bows and makes the best of an idea that I can talk to if I ever had a problem and would probly allways take it back but that will never be nessasary cause it is so well built hhhhhhhhmmmmm hard choice

I will definately be purchasing a mean v suppressor. I am just waiting on the newness of the bow to wear off. (Not really for me, waiting on the wife to quit complaining before I spend more money) Looks good, I can't wait to put one on my Black Ice.

MeanV...are you being sued? Didn't think so. You didn't "steal" anything.

I was thinking about putting a thread at the end of a piece of rod...wait...I might be stealing the idea of a stabilizer!

BAM!! Well said!! What about all the other stabilizers copied after one another? strings? cable slides? sites? rests? silencers?.........suppressors.....[&:]

That was the most un-thought out attack i have ever heard. MeanV has the best looking one out there and will soon be on my bow too.

What's also pretty sad is some guys are so miserable in life they have to insult fellow bowhunters and decent people.

I wish I could get one, don't care who made what first!!! anyway, do you guys have shoot thru paper again after adding one?? does it mess with the arrow flight??

Ah Oh, i see a flaw in my quest for a meanV supressor on my X-Force Dream Season . Vabowman , is your X-Force 6" or 7" brace height ? .

No it doesnt change anything just noise and bow just i dont know like you forgot to shoot is the best i can describe it.It is like the string just stopps I really think I STOPPED ANY deer jumping the string I had smeone else shoot my bow today and I listened I just shook my head I own long bows and recurves and never heard less noise from a bow.How is that x force I would love to shoot one but there isnt any one within 200 miles of here that carries them I dont want to buy one without shooting one.You think the indians are going to sue fred bear for copying there bow idea oh then the cave men are going to have to sue the indians this could get ugly

RE: Got my Mean V string suppressor and...

I have an 07 X force, 6" brace. It is fast, but for me, my 26" draw really screws me when it comes to speed. I like the bow, but there is some vibration and noise, but it is not something that would turn me away. If you have a longer draw, you will get amazing speeds when this bow cranked out to 70#, you will see the 345-348 range with 350 arrow. It is not the most forgiving bow, but practice helps, also the grip was a little thin for my liking, but overall it's a great bow.

Dan, what size do I need to order from your website for my 08 Black Ice? Also, will the Hardwoods HD match my Hardwoods Grey the best?

6 3/8"
The HD Hardwoods is a good match to the 08 Diamond Line.

Ok, if it ended up being the wrong size I could probably send it back right? But I doubt that you don't know what you are doing.

My next question is I see that you sell the slick tricks and I've heard great things about these as well. If I order a pack along with my supressor will the USPS 1st class shipping still be included in the total cost?

That is pretty crappy to act like that atlas. There are at least 10 different ones on the market and I dont see any of them paying royalties.

If STS actually had a case I am sure they would have a filed a lawsuit a long time ago.
