Looking forward to reviewing the Meanv supressor too as I have the original STS also and did find the same problems as you mentioned. Nothing a little LOCTite didn't fix and also I had to put a serving on my cable so that the supressor didn't wear out the cable, which in turn took away 5 fps. Do you know if Dans needs the added serving,I forgot to ask[>:]. Thanks
Rocky

I've never heard of anyone having to serve the cable. My cables do not touch my MeanV suppressor. Some people will serve the string where it contacts the rubber stopper, but I didn't. I just kept it waxed and my string didn't show any excess wear in that area. That's after over 1 year of shooting the same string.

I always reccomend serving the area that contacts the Suppressor. I just think it's cheap insurance.

I've had a lot of people tell me the same thing, but I still play it safe.

Btw, do you hunt with the Commander as well? I'm wanting to get back into a longer ATA bow, but I don't think I can pull off the two bow deal where I have a target bow and hunting bow. The Commander has always caught my eye as a nice do-all bow.

Yes, Matt I do. I haven't found the length to be an issue. I worried about the same thing when I bought it, but any stand that I would have problems with cam clearance with a bow that is 4 to 5 inches shorter than my Commander, is no stand for me. I hunt out of a lot of hang on stands and I make sure that I have trimmed the necessary limbs outof the way. I love the bow. Solid shooting bow. I only wish I could do it justice.:D

I mean I google string suppressors and this is what comes up three links down.... Really I just spent the last hour reading this thread from half a year ago... Heck I almost feel obligated to buy a Mean V now, since I'm so vested in them time wise...haha Well not that anyone is going to read this, this thread has to be one of the older ones still on the site, but with that said it is certainly one of the more interesting and heated threads I've read since I've been a member on this site.... And Mean V for what's it is worth, I will be placing my order soon.... Sorry Atlas, eight months later and your comment is still selling suppressors for the Mean V... Funny how something meant to bebad can turn into to something good for decent people. Mean V don't know ya, just assuming by how many people spoke up for you that ya can't be to bad of a guy.... Or atleast thats the character testwe use on somebody down here in South Mississippi... Will be takin to you soon.

Pretty sad how some people blatantly rip off another company's idea and try to profit from it.

If anyone really ripped off STS think there would have been a bunch of lawsuits. There are like 10 different ones on the market now not to mention just about every bow company out there now is putting them on their bows.

Dan sure makes some nice ones. The camo matches great too!
