Do you practice with or without your quiver?

I'm with because I like to simulate what I'd actually be doing in the woods. Soon as I clip onthe quiver, the bow feels like a different bow. (obviously because it's heavier) Maybe it's just in my mind but I think I shoot better with the quiver on making the bow heavier making it steadier.

I done it both ways and I prefer quiver on.

Quiver on! That is how I shoot in the woods so I practice with the quiver on. I also agree that it does add some weight so it does steady it some. It also helps to have your bow balanced from to back and side to side.

I do both and i used to think that with it on its more steady but after a while i took it off and then i felt more steady with it off.

I practice without my quiver because that is what I do when I get into the stand.

Me too

I practice without until about six weeks prior to season. Then I leave it on until end of season. I know many people take theirs off when getting in stand, but I keep mine on and have never had an issue with it. I seem to shoot just as well with it on then off.

RE: Do you practice with or without your quiver?

I hang the quiver on a hook once in stand. I practice shooting the way i hunt, quiver off.

I'll practice both this summer as I am heading to SD for a pronghorn hunt this year. I may need to leave quiver on while hunting from the ground, so I'll need to be proficient both ways. In the past, I have noticed no change in shooting. It seems that with the quiver on, the bow feels much heavier and my bow arm gets tired quicker while practicing for extended periods.

Quiver off! I don't know why, but I cant stand shooting with it on my bow. On stand I put it in my backpack. Whos knows that few inches thinner the bow is without the quiver could get me a shot at a deer some day if im hunting in a tight spot.

with my pse i shot with it on, then off and felt way better, but my new bow i am not sure yet, with my new one.

I leave mine on, no real reason that I can think of, I just do.

RE: Do you practice with or without your quiver?

I shoot with it off and I'm thinking of getting a hip quiver for next season instead of a bow quiver. Yes a full quiver looks good but I find that i don't shoot as good with it on and it just makes the bow much heavier on one side.

Aye mate, quiver me timber!!! No, and I also take it off in the tree. But none of that means nothing, because I don't practice with all me hunt'n garb on either, complete with jackets, gloves, face cover, shivering, with 27 cups of coffee trying to get my heart racing like when Bullwinkle comes a calling either. So I would say, with the quiver off.

I keep on all year, 3-d, hunting... I practice like I hunt. I don't like to mess with taking it off and on. Last year I went to a 2 piece and don't see myself going back anytime soon.

Quiver off. It makes my bow very unsteady with it on.

With Quiver on... the same way as I would hunt.

I shoot both... its best to be prepared and know how your bow shoots.

Cost me a very nice buck once when an arrow brushed against a limb in the act of drawing. He picked me likeright now.My quiver will never be on my bow again except to and from the stand.

RE: Do you practice with or without your quiver?

The last bow mounted quiver I used (or at least left on the bow) was in 1997. 10 yrs straight of hanging one in the tree.
It's convenient for quick follow ups no doubt about it, but it's also the weak link if you are looking for proper balance, quietness with many models, and to a degree stealth because you are waving around those bright fletchings.
I don't know how you bow quiver guys do it, I could just never get used to it.

So to answer the question I practice with it off. :D

w/o the quiver in the summer, as season comes closer I try to replicate as though i was hunting; w/extra arrows on, shooting glove, etc.

quiver on. i hunt with it on so i practice with it on. I am going to start practicing without it because this year i will be hunting from a tree saddle so it may be easier to downsize.
