Yes, I think it is safe to start the voting. Last year I think the entry deadline was the end of January, but we can extend it some this year if people still have entries. The voting will end on the last day of March, and I will have the engraving done on the trophies. The trophies are made, and I will be picking them up later this week. The trophy shop is keeping the front plates that will be engraved when I give them the text for each one. They would rather me pick up the 4 trophies now though, so they aren' t sitting around the shop. I plan to pick them up the same time my 25 pounds of black bear summer sausage is ready to be picked up![8D]

Thanks again to IL_BOW for putting together the web page. He does a great job and I appreciate all your effort! Lets get the rest of your harvests in for this season and let the voting commence... as per Nub' s permission[

How many entries are there. I wonder if we can put it up on the board as a poll but I bet the numbers are too great. Let me know and I' ll play with the system.

We have a ton of enterants, so I' m not sure if that will work. We do have a first place and runner up with the viewers choice, so it very well could work there. Not sure how we decide which 10 get put on the voting though. It would be great to do that because I' m sure we would more than double the votes that we would otherwise get. Lets see how many enterants we get by the end of the month, and we can hopefully do it then. Thanks for the idea Rob!

Do the polls on the board only allow you to vote once? Or would it be possible to stuff the ballot box so to speak?

ooops, Just checked the " which bow you shoot" pole and it looks like you can only acually vote once. (Mathews is still kickin butt ) What about if you were tyo log off? Could you vote again that way?[:-]

Looks to me like you can not vote unless registered and logged in. Also, it must keep track by member name instead of IP, because once you vote it will not even give the option to vote even if you are using a totally different IP, say a different computer on a different network So you would need multiple user names to stuff the vote. At least from what I' ve seen so far.

There are 16 entrants, if you take away two for the biggest deer that leaves 14. Is that too many to put on a poll?? If it is, I will open up the guest book on the web page.
