Okay, so I know for myself sitting in a tree stand during the season..
I tend to do a lot of.......thinking.....

No, No, No...I never come up with the answers to solve the worlds problems...or even envision what the cure for cancer may be....

Rather... I come up with some rather complex thoughts....that actually have meaning... like...

If Montana is the Big Sky State... and Chicago is known as the Windy City....if you combined the two.... wouldn't you have the best place for flying a Kite?

Do Vegeterians eat animal crackers? (or PETA members for that matter)

If nothing ever sticks to Teflon, how do they make the Teflon stick to the pan?

How old are you before it can be said you died of old age?

If you have a cold hot pocket, is it just a pocket?

If an African elephant comes to America, is it an African-American elephant?

What would happen if you found a four-leaf-clover under a ladder?

Mostly about how cold (or hot) it is

or whenthe deer are going to show up

or Im half way asleep (I have never fallen asleep in a treestand)

Haha...you actually come up with these while you are hunting...and remember them all?

I do a lot of thinking while I'm in the tree, but I never remember what I think about! I don't even know what I would be thinking about right now if I was hunting...other than, if a shooter comes from here, I'll do this...or if a doe goes by over there, I'll do that...etc.

Nice thoughts though!

Same goes for me. I usually think about where I will be after college? What kind of job i will have? Sometimes I even think about what my girlfriend and other friends that dont hunt are doing. Other than that I play games on my cell phone, and text Mo Bowhnter to see if hes not seeing anything either.

I don't really do much "outside the box" thinking when I'm in a tree. I think about deer, beer, premium salads... and a particular doe (not necessarily in that order). But sometimes I do find myself basquing in the fall sun thinking about, well... nothing. After those hunts where you see nothing at all, I always wish that God would email me a map with little red X's of where the deer were when I was in the stand. But that's about the extent of my thoughts. I also think about how a womans brain functions, and attempt to come to terms that I'll probably never understand it.:D

That cuddle time comes at a very high price Mr. Germ. Thanks to your book on "Spooning for Idiots" :D

I often find myself thinking about hunting "stuff"

Like a new treestand design or new products for my bow...not that I could design them myself...but I like to come up with ideas

Or I just try to figure out when the deer are gonna show up:D

Actually this season i was in the middle of texting him when I shot my deer! Funny thing is I told him how I hadnt seen a deer all season on stand and I bet tonight was going to be no different. About 2 minutes later a big doe came strolling through at 25 yrd with no shot, and then 30 min later a spike came chasing two yearling. And i shot one of the yearlings.

i goto the treestand so i dont have to think. my mind is pretty empty when im in the stand...its focused on hunting. i leave life's baggage at the truck. thats one of the reasons i enjoy hunting and fishing...its my way out. not that i usually have anything major on my mind...i just like to escape daily life and forget it all for a while.

ive tried sitting there and pondering about life and thinking about everything going on in my life...tried playing around with the cell phone....tried reading...i didnt like any of it. still take the cell phone just for emergency reasons...and it is my clock. other than that, im either focused on the hunt or i might be catching a little nap...

The most useful thing I ever realized in the stand is that the square of anyinteger is equal to the square of the previous integer plus the sum of the previous integer and the integer of interest. In mathese:
x^2 = (x-1)^2 +x + (x-1) Pretty obvious when you look at it, but you never need another calculator to figure the square of an integer so long as you can remember that 2X2=4.


I also wondered if I make allegations, does that make me an alligator?

One that's always puzzled me, and maybe one of the ladies on here can answer it: Why the heck is "bra" singularwhile "panties" is plural? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I find myself wondering all sorts of weird things while in a stand. If try to not think my brain starts playing a loop of some really annoying song.

Most annoying 'song' loops from the past season; 'Viva Viagra' and 'She Bop'. Thinking/wondering about stuff is definitely better. [:'(]
