Legendary Bowhunters POLL

I was thinking the same thing, and he got two votes[&:]
To me it's the guy who brought bowhunting to the masses, and that would be a MI boy named Fred Bear. He fought for an archery only season. He knew to expand bowhunting we needed are own season.
Most guys on this list benefited and became who they are because of Fred Bear. That demands RESPECT!!!

Dude, you seriously put Dan Fitzgerald in the same poll with Howard Hill and Fred Bear?[:-]

Some good names on your list.. Uncle Ted isn't on that level. One name not there is Myles Keller. Got a chance to spend an hour with him when I was young. Their is no one on your list that he couldn't compare to. He accomplishes what he sets out to do and with class.

Ted Nugent is a legend in my eyes, or at least, he will be. He has done a lot for the hunting community, although he both gun and bow hunts, he will become a HUNTING legend, he has done so much.

Wish we could vote for multiple instead of one. Here are my more than one:
Fred Bear, Bob Foulkrod, Wenzel Bros., Dwight Schuh, Larry Jones, Tom Jennings, Howard Hill, Jim Dougherty, Pope, Young, and even Pete Shepley. I throw Jennings in there because though he lost the battle with the Allen Family over who made the first compound bow........Jennings made the first high quality compound bows in my opinion. He and Pete Shepley really raised the bar with quality compounds in the early compound days.
