NY longisland, and we all ready have to do that, you can shoot 1 buck, than 1 doe, and if you bring the does head in you get another either tag.

2. YES!!! If we want to start better controling the deer herd, especially here in southern Illinois, make EVERYONE who wants to or pays to kill a buck kill a doe.

In MD, at a lot of places, I have to kill a doe before I can kill a buck. Hey, no big deal. I need teh meat anyway, but it has happened where I seen a nice buck.

I'm in the same boat as Soap. In westchester, ny we basicallyy get unlimited doe tags, and each one you get checked(head) you receive a either sex tag. I would rather see a antler restriction rule so all the yahoos will stop shooting the juvies. Guys around here will cut the heads off of road kill does to get the extra either sex tag just so they can go kill another spike. Rediculous.

In principle yes, but in practical implementation...NO

I think there are other (and better) ways to protect bucks and urge people to shoot does.

I'm out on that deal, but I'm all for antler restrictions.

We can kill six deer a year with no more than 2 bucks... I like it just fine that way.
Agreed, I think we have a pretty good system right now

1. What state do you live in? NC
2. Would you be for or against a "earn a buck" tag. Yes for it. And for an Antler Restriction as well. Most bucks around here are dead by 1.5 years old.
