it definitely would have been too largehere is a pick of how you measure a cape. if it "Y" incisioned i put a ruller 3" down from the ears and double your measurement.

You dont need to order an form or anythign yet. That deer needs to be fully caped out and salted before you can even get a close measurement but really should wait until the cape is tanned. Then you can get all the measurements you need and get the perfect form. The taxi doing this for you should be able to handle everything once you give them the cape still attached to the head. I prefer it when I get deer like that because I know I wont screw anything up then and the cape will come off with no to minimal holes. WCL

Only 3 measurements you need are like he said the C, B and the nose measurment. Shoulders don't need to be measured. WCL

Man, the more I look at photos of my buck ,the more I get upset with myself.

I always preach about letting young bucks walk so they grow older...what did I do ? I took a freakin 2.5yo buck..He HAD potential...Man, I am disgusted with myself over this...[:@]..I dont like shooting young animals to begin with....let alone a buck that would have been an actual shooter next year.
Its your first buck man. Nothin wrong with that. Only way to hunt is shoot a bigger one next year. Can't start at the top then ya have nothin to work for. WCL

i mainly concern myself with the B measurement. A is important but if you get a form that 1/4"-1/2" different on the A measurement on your deer it will still mount up just fine. the B measurment gives the true size of the deer. oh and there is no measurement for the shoulders.

oh and i know there are some good deer in jersey just busting balls
