Why would somebody tease me this way?
 

My taxidermist just called....and I was waiting for the magic words.:)

He then says....."I hope to have your buckready, by Friday"

:eek: Man.....That's just not right.

Let me ask ya something.......does it ever get to be "ho-hum".....knowing you're about to pick up a mount? If it does (for you)....I hope it never does, for me!;)

same here but she has a "13 week belly" that is growing....but she has been camoflauging herself by wearing more clothes dang it!

im like a little kid on Christmas when i get that phone call. when i get the one for my buck, i hope i aint doing anything important because if at all possible, i will be there in a flash. i aughta call him real soon...id like to see the form when he orders it and make sure i dont wanna have him modify it at all...from what i could tell, it was exzactly what i wanted...but he made the mistake of telling me he loves to modify forms and do his own thing....i told him what i wanted and we found just that in a catalog...also gotta get a ballpark date so i can order the plaque...i dont want it sitting around my house for a year...and im sure he dont want it sitting at his either...he said should be before May...then we were talking and he said he didnt get in nearly as many as he normally does...so it might be any time here....i aughta call:D look what you did Jeff! you got me all excited and wound up here...seems alot of guys got theirs back or are getting theirs back soon...me next?!?!?

Hunter--I hate being at work and seeing pics like that---I feel like telling my wife to excuse herself from work while I come over there like a crazed gorilla looking for his mate!!! LOL.

Mauser.....He was named that by me .....just because he was so much bigger (body-wise) than the other "deer" I was seeing. Yep....that's the one, though. I just hope (for the deer's sake) the mount shows how big of an animal he was (and I know it's not big to a lot of you guys....but to me and his cohorts he was a biggun;)).

I hope the mount is a tribute to him. He was an awesome animal.

Hell, I dunno....I'm still waiting on that call for the first time......I have no idea what that call is like.....

The hide was supposed to be back from the tanners last week.......I'm so very hopeful......Chomping at the bit, actually.

I just looked at the reciept from my Taxi and the finish date isn't until August! :( [&:]

You know what.....Taxi's should move up completion dates on Customers mounts if the pay it off in advance...that would give you more of an incentive to pay for it and you could bump someone back! :D;)

When I get a call from my Taxi that my 8-Point Buck is done and ready to be picked up I can't wait to get it and usually run around trying to get the last of the money together to pay it off and get my Deer out of hock! :eek:This year I'm doing better and have it 2/3 paid for already!...I might even see if he would sell me that beautiful Mulie Mount that no one has picked up and paid for the past 2 years?

I still feel bad for him about that.

I haven't gotten ho-hum about it yet, nor do I ever think I will. If I do, then I shouldn't have gotten it mounted IMO. This year is the first time I ever left the rack with the taxidermist. I only got to enjoy it for a couple of days before I dropped it off, so I am really anxious to get my mount back and get to enjoy it again. I am hoping to have it June or July, but I am guessing.

i didnt forget the story Jeff:D i just been looking forward to seeing the mount!

mine from this year is gunna look plain silly if/when i take bigger/older bucks with big swelled necks...just dont see a whole lot of early season bucks mounted...just makes him more special!

man you really got me all excited and thinking about him on my wall now!

MoBow......it is a rush to go and pick up your mount after it has been away at the Taxi for so long....and it looks even better after it has be cleaned and tanned and mounted so nicely....dang you guys got me all worked up about getting my Deer back and I have 6 more months to go! :(:)

huntingson...i only got to hold my rack as i drug him from the woods!! i know your pain!! i have to look at my pics daily just to get by!! i took the cape and head to the meat locker and stored it there while the butcher processed the meat...from there it went home for a few hours...showed him off to a few friends..then straight to the taxi he went...i coulda took them, but with me being away at college and him being 20 minutes from home and 45 minutes from school, i figured it was best to leave them there....and they are probably safer at his place! i already had 1 euro mount fall from the wall...magically...

Igot my mount back 2 weeks ago. I never expected to get such quick service. It came out great, this must be a record but I dropped it off 6 weeks ago. I went the same day I got the call. It was my first muzzle loader kill and I shot him out of my bow stand at 15 yards. Open sights.;)

I can't wait either ,it's the next best thing to going on a hunt .But to the taxi. it's just work and he's telling you he wants payed on friday. Just a little heads up .I can't believe the people who let their mount set at the shop for ever. I would be there right after he said to be,not to foget that man wants payed .How would you like it if your boss said on payday he can't get to you this week maybe next week.
