OMG!! So sorry Gary. Thank goodness everyonegot outsafely. Wish there was something I could do to help out G man.
Did the fire start from an improper ordamaged flue? Or did something pop out of the fireplace and start the fire. I always worry when my wife burns a fire and Im not home.

Well by the grace of good lord most everything in the house was saved.
Look at this picture, look in the top left see the baskets? Not even scorch a little. Look how white the walls are, almost 0 smoke damage.
Most of the clothes are in great shape also. Hell my FIL cell phone still worked. We saved all the pictures and albums. Just so happens we own(where I work) a restortion company. SO they are on the job..

Sorry to hear of the news Germ.
It's great news that they were able to save so much. I know some people who lost everything.. and alot of things that cannot be replaced.
Boy.. it's been a rough patch for you and yours lately. I hope things look up quick. You will be in my wife and my thoughts tonight.

Dang, sorry to hear about this Gary. Glad to hear everyone is ok and many things are salvagable.
How in the heck could the roof be totally gone and the stuff down in the rooms be in such great shape? Was thE fire in the flue and then spread to the attic?
