NAP Spitfires.... not that they are the best, but they work for me everytime I use them.

I found this photo last night. This was the last shot I took this year....at a doe.

Feel free to post up photos of what your BH is doing to the animals you're shooting. If there's something out there (besides predators) inflicting wounds like this.....I want to be aware of it.

LOL!! I suppose this was a broadside shot and you got penetration through both sides? What's the other side look like? I've seen rips like that before, but I haven't got time to get into that

Dan:

I posted on the other thread (rage thread) exactly the scenario. I'll post it here, too.....and I couldn't care less whether you believe it or not. I have no reason to embellish. I'm actually VERY surprised when I see what these heads have done/can do. I posted a recovery photo earlier this year where the entrails of the doe were hanging out of the ENTRANCE hole (behind the last rib on a qrting shot) when I walked up on her.

If you haven't used these heads....HOW can you make intelligent remarks regarding them?

She was shot from about 18yds .....from about 23' up.

The photo above is undoctored. I shot the doe.....went home....retrieved her about 30 minutes later. Stuck her in the ATV.....drove her home.....unloaded her....and took the photo when I saw exactly what you see. Did she tear the wound open? I'm sure she did. I claim NOTHING except this is exactly what I saw.....and I photo'd it.

Here is the same doe.

Jeff that is an incredible wound. I've considered trying the 2 blade rage. My mind is made up. I'm going to Bass Pro at lunch today. I had planned on a few new turkey diaphram callas and a new deke or two. A pack of Rages just got added to the list.
BTW, I have been shooting Muzzy and Slick Trick. I like them both and will continue to shoot them.

Did you shoot through her? or down the side? No Pic of the opposite side?[&:]I've seen a lot of dead deer in Bowhunting 40 years and I'd venture a guess I've seen wounds from over 50 different type and model broadheads and yes a lot of mechanicals with cutsas big as the Rage. I usually have a pretty good idea what causes a wound when I see one. It's America Jeff isn't that great!! Use what you have confidence in! I Do!!

Greg....

I make no claims of "incredibleness" (I know that isn't a word)......I've just been blown away (and quite frankly...SHOCKED) at some of the carnage I've seen these things inflict, this past season.

This is one of the photos I didn't post up earlier......because I don't know how to really explain it. I just know it wasn't doctored....and it wasn't THAT MUCH of an anomoly. I had a few of these occur.....and at one time erased them from my photo library ....just because.

My only claim is......THIS is what I saw. How it occurred is left to you and your imagination.

On a side note, Greg....I sure would love to be able to hunt some hogs. I hope you're getting out every once in a while. If you do try these heads (again....I have no affiliation).....please let me know what you think of their performance on hogs.....as I want to try that someday.

Thanks

I shot through her, Dan. And if you're implying something else....why not just come out and do so? I've told you nothing but the ENTIRE story.

To be honest....the entrance side is TYPICALLY the most traumatic with these heads.....due to quartering angles. If I'd had this type of carnage on both sides...I wouldn't have taken a "harvest" photo of this deer. I posted the "harvest" photo, above. The entrance wound (though EXTREMELY devastating by most BH's standards) wasn't extremely traumatic by Rage standards. It was "typical" and is covered by my bow for aesthetics.

Just asked

One of the most devastating heads I ever used was the the Mini Blaster 4L. 4 Blade expandable 1 3/4" cut. It looked like you threw a tennis ball through them.I killed between 30 or 40deer with expandables. Thelist of different model expandables is longer than I can remember accurately. Every new model that came out I had to try[8D]So I do have just a little experience in that area. One failure was too many, and 2 and I was finished. What's so new about the Rage? Synper re-runs? Just proves Arthur signature is very TrueIf you have enough Ad money you can fool all the people all the time. I wish you luck with them and hope you never experience any sort of failure.

I myself really can not see the reason for taking that risk. I have not had to track an Animal since 03. Yeah I have killed a couple
