RE: scent blocker bags?
I have done this Tech. for years and it seems to work. I put my hunting cloths/access in those sealed containers (ie; rubbermaid) with some field/area natural materials, then put the top and done. I wash them in scentt free, air dry and pack them away in those containers for the offseason, in the spring/fall I replace the natural materials. When your going on a trip just throw it in the truck and fresh as a daisy, plus if you have camp fires, etc no smell gets on the clothes.
Not fancy but it works and the only cost is start up and a few containers with lids. Gives you a great reason to go scouting in the woods, to collect stuff for your container...works with my wife:)! |

RE: scent blocker bags?
2droptine, I used it all year and I killed 5 deer with my bow (3 bucks,2 does) I don' t know about UV(must not be too bad) ,but 1 doe was directly downwind when I shot her after 15 minutes. And I was only 12 ft high . IMO it works and is cheap !

RE: scent blocker bags?
This may be wrong info, but I have always been told Re:UV. Use a laundry soap that is pure with minimal brightners in or sport wash/uv. Wash inside out, Extra rinse and air dry. Also heard air dry in direct sunlight works as well.
I wash in a baking soda solution with no brighteners added (inside out), extra rinse and air dry. I then place in my container, until i hit the woods. I hunt on the ground mostly and have had many close encounters with game, so I believe I must be doing something alright! BTW, I also put fill the washer up to large load and run it through just water to make sure the fabric softner and tide is gone. |
RE: scent blocker bags?
Junk I use a 30 gl tote. First i tape 3 earth scent waffers to the lid for a week.
Then I take two out put hunting clothes and rubber boots in WORKS GREAT. When hunting pin on 2 earth scent waffers 1 on hat 1 on pant' s. I have had deer walk down wind right up to my treestand. I do use scent blocker spray also. |
RE: scent blocker bags?
worthless, as all " scent blocker" is in my opinion. My scent blocker is free, I ONLY hunt my stands if the wind is PERFECT.

RE: scent blocker bags?
Tink' s makes one that is lined with activated charcoal, but it costs around $20. I have used one for the last couple of years, but I don' t know if it is any more effective than anything else. I haven' t been winded in three years while wearing Scent-Pro and keeping my stuff in this bag. I have even had a bobcat come from directly downwind and stop under my stand to drink.
