On a 300 vegas round shooting 270 in the pro class you will be dead last. Those guys cry when they drop a single 10, never mind shooting a 7. For the 300 possible points, the top pros will shoot 298-300.

well, tonight I went foranother friendly competition, against the second best shooters at my archery club ( the guys who shot second place last tournement ).
3 spot at 18 yards, 30 arrows, I shot a 271 ( five x's, four 8's and all 9's )
I beat them because they both shot one miss......one blamed it on the sts on his general, the other just a bad day.......I had me one of them fine sunshiny days then....

GMMAT, let's just say we beat you at Tennis, Soccer, motorcross, ping pong and women's archery.....but that's about it.......

I get a lot of invitations to do group tournements but I decline.....I want to shoot above 290 before I get into competition.
I might set up my tomkat with a target sight and scope, maybe some different arrows and a drop away rest.......but that will be after I finally decide on my second bow, a 82nd or a general...........

Why not join our own HNI online vegas league? We have already started, so it would be difficult to compete for the overal standings, but you are certainly welcome to post a weekly score to see where you stack up from week to week. We shoot a 450 vegas game, with 45 arrows instead of your 30.

I would say you need to be in the upper 290s to 300. That's what they shoot around here in the bowhunter unlimited class and 298 to 300 in the open class. I shot in the upper 290s with fingers in the finger pro class. I all ways fingered if I could shoot about 296 each day in a two day shoot I would be in the money if I was lucky.
