I've been hunting about 60# for over 25 years. I have killed many deer. most were total pass thru. I hunt large body northern whitetails. The biggest dressing at 225#. Many had 1 rib broken and some had 2 ribs broken.

Whatever poundage ends up on my bow after tuning it to the arrow I want to shoot.

Ditto for me. I normally get 50-60 lb bows then I pick an arrow that spines for 55 lbs or so. Then I bare shaft tune and adjust the limbs to match the arrows and my set up.

66 lbs for me. Any more and I strain a little to hold it for a few seconds, causing me to shake.
