RE: Rangefinders??
ORIGINAL: Rick James I've got the Nikon 440. A few things I like about it......... I've had it for 3 years now and it's on the same battery. I use this thing a LOT too, in the summer I'm using it all the time to practice yardage judging for 3D. I bought an extra battery 2 years ago to keep in the archery tackle box I keep in my car, but I just haven't needed it yet. The bushnell I tried in the past had a hard time reading through blind mesh, and through minor brush. My Nikon works perfectly in these situations. I've dropped my Nikon from 20+ feet up a tree at least a half dozen times, and it just keeps ticking. I've also dropped it from 20+ feet up into 10" of standing water, where it sat long enough for me to climb down from a tree in a climber, and when I got down there, pulled it out....no fogging, no nothing. Works perfectly. This thing isa soldier and I honestly can't imagine wanting anything else. sounds unbreakable! How much?? |
RE: Rangefinders??
I got mine on ebay. I see a bunch of them there now on buy it now auctions for around $170. If you were patient and bid on one, I'm sure you could likely get one cheaper than that.

RE: Rangefinders??
[/align]I have a Bushnell 450 and a Leupold RXII. The Bushnell works to some extent. Its great for bowhunting but a lot bulkier than the leupold. Dont try to range anything over a couple hundred yards with it though. For the money I think the Leupold is the best. I got it off of Ebay for $214 new. |
RE: Rangefinders??
ORIGINAL: GMMAT For strictly bowhunting.....I don't see spending any more than $150. Bushnell sport is accurate to 450yds to within +/- 1 yd. Dan |
