I wasn't the first, nor did I accuse you of lying. I honestly DID think you exaggerated, though.

I just went in my basement and tried to duplicate the scenario. I owe you an apology (and I apologize). I got very similar results at 20 yds Only noticeable difference was the canted bow shot low.

Jeff try it without the peep:D

I didn't call you a liar, either...(and I KNOW who you're talking about;)).

If I was gonna call you a liar.....I'd cite something like your quote in the WB thread that you tried to spin.

But I didn't.;)

This was a pretty good thread. Does it really need to turn into another bitch fight?

Keeping your head straight up wouldn't do it. Leaning your head 45 degrees to coincide with the angle of the cant wouldn't do it. Your peep/pinline-of-sightare on a completely different line than the launch angle of the arrow and the two lines do not intersect. The arrow will hit far to theleft when the bow is canted 45 degrees to the right and you have the sight pin on the target. What you claim you did is physically impossible.

Now, if you'd said you just aimed down the arrow and shot barebow, then yes. It's perfectly possible to shoot that kind of group at 25 yards with the bow canted 45 degrees.I do it all the time.

But for what you say you did, I have to call BS.

I don't want any holes in my basement wall, Germ.

The canting of the bow will most definitely shoot low ... all things being equal ..... the more you cant the bow .... the higher and moreleft it will shoot ... again, all things being equal .... picture from the peep to the sight being the center ... then rotate the bow, keeping the pin on the target, the position of the arrow rotates right and up, (assuming you are canting to the right) .... keep turning hunter and bow until he is standing on his head ..... the arrow will be off the approximate distance from the sight to the arrow x2 ...... you guys gettin it?

I guess Arthur did beat you in a photo finish.

I honestly DID think you exaggerated, though.
Why in god's name would I (or anyone for that matter) do something so stupid???........dude, it is still like 40 degrees out there...........and what would anyone gain by "faking" something like this??

Thank you..............maybe everyone SHOULD try this and see what happens ;)

When you're sighted in correctly, your site is set to shoot the arrow high to compensate for gravity. So tilting the bow either direction should result in a slightly low impact. I would also think that since you are shooting "high", to compensate for gravity, your arrow would impact off the X in the direction of the canting. Does this make sense or am I completely off base. Also, I think the faster the bow, the less drastic the results would be.

It seems folks are more interested in calling you a liar than in discussing the topic at hand. It was a pretty good topic too [:o].
