Tax Return

Tax season is on the way and with your return (if any) and the additional tax break that suppose to come in May, what are your plans with the money?

This year I will be paying Uncle Sam. After I pay Uncle Sam, I might have enough left over to buy a new pair of shoe laces?[:o]

I have an appointment today to find out and I might be on the same boat. I hope I can at least get colored laces.

I think you will get a refund check regardless through the "avoid depression" plan...right?

If it passes the US Senate "most" will. That still won't happen until at LEAST May (If I am hearing correctly).

That don't look good for me, either....lol.

It has to pass first (not a sure thing, yet). It is looking good, though. Should be in June, they say.

I need a new blind, some turkey decoys, new arrows, ...........

Anyone got some extra they want to share???

Either way man, this was made to be fun, so pretend you got one. LOL

Amen to that. I never understood the idea of giving the gov't an interest free loan for a year [&:].

I purchased a new bow, and with the huge lump sum remaining goes towards bills and savings! Oh yea my wife gets cash for the amount of my bow so she will be shopping!

RE: Tax Return

As far as the "Depression" refund hopefully it goes through. Last I heard was that it is $600 per person filed with an Income less than $75k or jointly under $150k and then $300 for each dependent. My fiancee and I are hoping to get a nice chunk back. god knows we pay in a lot throughout the year and hope to get enough back to pay for a well on the land we are closing on hopefully on March 7th. We go to the tax man tomorrow evening so hopefully we hear good news. I'm going through all my deductions now. Trying to figure how to get uncle sam to pay for that trip to Canada last year.

Unfortunately I was told earlier this week that my furnace is so old that no one will give me a service contract, there are no parts for it, and I should replace it before it breaks. So thats where the majority of my return will go.

I hear you guys about not giving the Gov. a free loan. No doubt! I pay taxes quarterly because I am self employeed. My wife works and gets a W2 so it might work out that we get a little after deducts and such...hopefully.

I'm with you twildasin...my wife will be shopping as well to distract her from my buying of new toys!

she is a stay at home mom we have 3 kids so i always get a real good chunk of money back!So normally we both take a chunk for ourselfs and then pay some bills and the rest in the bank! I bought my bow and she booked a cruise! Its a win win situation.

I'm hoping I can get a new bow with mine. As it is, I'll probably have to use it to pay for school things, but one can dream:)

universal joints on the truck....finish off paying for my buck mount, and pay for my flintlock deer hide, 2 coon hides, and my red fox hide at the tannery....if the universal joints didnt need repaired, id be ordering my drop away and BT release....but being in college, i dont think i can swing it as of this minute...if the new girl sticks around, i definently wont swing it...dates can add up quick lol...

only real things on the list for this year are new rubber boots, a range finder, a drop away, a BT release and probably anothe dozen arrows so i have a stockpile...but i need a new vehicle before fall...thats priority...i can live without most of the stuff on my list need be...just gotta see what kinda summer job i land

ours is going to go to some re-finishing of our hardwood flooring in a couple rooms. We bought an older house, hardwood throughout, and that is getting re-finished. In my man cave, the floor is Douglas Fir, looks pretty sweet, and when re-done, will look awesome!

Tax return?....If your getting a tax return, you need to tweak your tax some. No sense letting the gov't borrow your money for free. Taz

RE: Tax Return

You don't want a tax return, if you get one, you've been giving the gov't an interest free loan for a year. Though most don't have that type of money management self control.

I don't think I'll be getting much back, but what I get back will go to paying off the truck. After the truck is paid off, then I start toy shopping again.
