GMATT is 100% correct about the angle of the shot, it's not always right behind the shoulder...

I don't pick a spot.Knowing the deer's anatomy, I try to invision the path of the aarow.Can Istick it in the vitals?........... from my height in the stand and angle in reference to the deer is wht I am trying to determine when the deer is within range......................I'm not looking for a "spot"[:-]

I try to shoot the ones that don't have spots, they're still too young.

I guess, but some have mentioned finding a tuff of hair or a dark spot on the deer to aim at when describing "picking a spot".
