Thanks for the kind words everyone-cheers. This was a special hunt for sure. I hope the Good Lord gives me the opportunity to make it back someday. I would like to settle a score with an elusivefallow deer and some of the wild goats in Wales. In addition, I will always be up for cleaning house on fox!

In Scotland, I hunted ona estate which belonged to one of William Wallace's descendant (Stranraer). In Dunoon, I was on an estate owned by Winston Churchill. His estate was loaded with deer! The games keeper had us shoot calves first, then hinds, then small spikers. Big stags were off limit. Cavan killed four calves total, And I took out three calves and two roe deer females. I had the necessary paperwork (firearms license) to stalk by myself. but we ususally paired up in twos.

I can adopt you for a minimum of two weeks a year. And those weeks just happen to coincide with the elk rut. LOL, anytime "son"!

I truly believe God was drinking the day he created Reeves Muntjac. He made them part deer, part dog, and part rat! They have the fighting fangs similar to the water deer (not as large though). They are tough to hunt in not so tall grass-you barely see them. Moreover, the rarely stand still long enough for a decent shot. I would love to take a water deer and muntjac with my bow!
