RE: Back from the United Kingdom

You hunt what most of us can only dream of doing |
RE: Back from the United Kingdom
Thanks for the kind words everyone-cheers. This was a special hunt for sure. I hope the Good Lord gives me the opportunity to make it back someday. I would like to settle a score with an elusivefallow deer and some of the wild goats in Wales. In addition, I will always be up for cleaning house on fox!
Dave, In Scotland, I hunted ona estate which belonged to one of William Wallace's descendant (Stranraer). In Dunoon, I was on an estate owned by Winston Churchill. His estate was loaded with deer! The games keeper had us shoot calves first, then hinds, then small spikers. Big stags were off limit. Cavan killed four calves total, And I took out three calves and two roe deer females. I had the necessary paperwork (firearms license) to stalk by myself. but we ususally paired up in twos. You really need to get in contact with Gary! He will take good care of you! Jeff, I can adopt you for a minimum of two weeks a year. And those weeks just happen to coincide with the elk rut. LOL, anytime "son"! DBerrard, I truly believe God was drinking the day he created Reeves Muntjac. He made them part deer, part dog, and part rat! They have the fighting fangs similar to the water deer (not as large though). They are tough to hunt in not so tall grass-you barely see them. Moreover, the rarely stand still long enough for a decent shot. I would love to take a water deer and muntjac with my bow! Tony, Abook? Hmmm...I'm not the best writer and my typing skills suck! I look forward to sitting on the porch and telling the grandkids the stories-maybe one will pick up paper and pencil. Rob, I willautograph your new bow in September. Will that work? Thanks again guys! |

RE: Back from the United Kingdom
I'll have the attorneys draw up the papers Jeff. Oops, did the word "attorney" just come from my lips? Shame on me!
Atlas, You should consider the UK. I can square you away with all the details. Pm me when you're ready. |
RE: Back from the United Kingdom
Amazing once again Huck. You are truly an amazing human being and asset to the hunting community in general. Thanks for sharing in your experiences with us. If your ever in or near PA let me know, I'd love to meet you. Thanks again for sharing.

RE: Back from the United Kingdom
Great read and good job. A large number of our staff are in the UK, so I know what you are up against politically. Best of luck.

RE: Back from the United Kingdom
Congratulations on the success you have had. I am simply amazed at the places and animals you have had the pleasure of seeing. You should write a book about your adventures, have a writer put your words into print.I know thatI would buy it.

RE: Back from the United Kingdom
I hope you let some foxes get away, I don't mind you harvesting anything else, but foxes are dear to me......
Anyway, lots of foxes means a good healthy ecosystem. Did you notice the smell the glands under the muntjak deer's eyes give off ? I used to breed and hand rear them..... Frank Belgium |

ORIGINAL: iamyourhuckleberry I'll have the attorneys draw up the papers Jeff. Oops, did the word "attorney" just come from my lips? Shame on me! . Congrats on liv'n the dream. They ever say what happend to Wallace's head while you were there? It hung from the London bridge for more than 50 years after it was taken from him. I'd find just standing in the place he did enough for me. |
RE: Back from the United Kingdom
I would LOVE to live your hunting adventures.
I am blown away, and envious. THanks for sharing your adventures with us. |
