I was a member until they started sending me stuff in the mail unsolicited and then trying to bill me for it. I never did get everything they promised in the subscription kit. They DID send me stuff to fieldtest, nothing expensive, but at least that was truthful. I think the magazine was pretty good, I've kept just about every issue for reference.

I personally think its a scam. Add the numbers up. How much does it cost to join? How much in products do they send out a year? I dont remember the exact figures, but the case isthat they are making a KILLING! I know several people that have sent their money in and gotten none of the "test products". In the paperwork they never promise them to you though. If they are test products, they are probably getting them for free, so where does all the money go, into sending more mailers out, to get more people to join.

Iam a life member and it has changed in the last year and they revamped thier site and its not very good, and yes they seem to send out more garbage/mailing then I think is needed, alot of the people that used to be on the site are not there anymore,it got to be a headache just getting on....That is why I spend my time here, more interaction with members....I think it will p/u this fall but will see........
I know members on there that havent recived anything for field testing and have been life members for many yrs and others like me that recived field test items right away....
I tend not to go there but anymore but do know some good people over there that I keep in contact with...

Its like joining the H.O.G club(Harley Owners Group)it cost alot and you dont get much out of it if you dont use what they have to offer....Iam also a life Member to HOG(23yr member)....

I have gotten a test product about every 9-10 months. You only pay for a membership (Yearly or Lifetime)you do not in no shape way or form pay for a test product. You have to fill out a paper form or online
form when you want to test. Once you complete a test you have to fill out the survey and return it. If you do not do this you will not be able to test again, part of the program.
Many people fail on this part or do not like the test product they receive and say to heck with it. After you complete your survey you have to fill out another test form also and join the list.

Wallhanr they no longer do this practice of sending stuff. Back in the late 1090's they did this to me also and I sent it back and attached a request not to be sent anything anymore.
As for testing I got to test some wildlife calling software where I would listen to a certain call (Deer example) then repeat it into a microphone on my computer and it would analyze it to see how well I did.
This worked great for turkey calling especially. This is just one example of many tests over the years. Some good , some so so.

To each his own,
Fraley

I think they are the biggest scammers around. I joined as a life member thinking they had some good stuff and ideas! Boy was I wrong. They've sent me stuff and I've thrown it away not knowing there was products in there and I later get a bill for 45.00 telling me they didn't get there knife back they sent me. They have gotten well over 300.00 in money from me through out the years because I wasn't paying close enough attention to the stuff they were sending me, it would go in the garbage like all the other junk mail. I've called them and told them to take me off of there membership and all they tell me is we can't, your a life member. I'll knock this organization down every chance I get!!!! Its been a while since I've gotten anything, I wonder why that is!!?

Steve how long ago was this bro? They only send test products now and if only you sign up each time and you can not be charge if you fail to test it. You just wont get to test again.
You stated yourself not paying attention buddy. As stated above I had this issue back in the late 90's but they no longer do this practice that is why you have not recieved anything.

Dollar a month for a 1 year membership correct? You have to be a member to test products but once you are a member no charge for testing.
