I'd scour the classifieds and E-bay and buy the best my money could buy. I'm kinda looking for a real cheapy myself (way cheaper than $300)..something just for bow fishing.

I took my old bows and put them on ebay. i could not get $20 apiece at a garage sale, but I got $100 for the two of them on ebay. Then I sold my Reflex to someone here all set up for $200. Over at AT I found a 2004 Bowtech Patriot all set up with a case for $400, so I upgraded a bunch for $100. Worked out great. I would bet that you have something in the basement at home that someone here or on ebay would pay for that you haven't used in years. That would up your amount by ?????? With $500, you get get a real nice bow all set up like you want it and not have to settle for something less. Look around, deals are out there. I also sold off an old 35mm camera that I had no intentions of using again and got over $100 for it. It was a $800 camera when I bought it, but honestly I would not use it now that I had my digital so I got rid of it while it was still good.
Good Luck, then we can go to Downtown Video Archery and shoot some screen!

Look at the mission line of bows, you can get the X3 for about $300.. They are made by mathews and have alot of the same technology mathews bows have. I have one and it is a really nice bow, it has the same cam as the drenalin. It is a pretty fast bow aswell, with a 418grain arrow mine was shooting 287fps. Quiet, fast, smooth to shoot, and in a great price range. Also has a lifetime warranty...

I would go on ebay too. Look at the Diamond, Bowtech, Mathews, Hoyt options available at a reasonable cost.
