I was 16 once. It was 40 some years ago. Don't get down on all of us old farts because we had trouble understanding you. I, for one, would love to be reading your posts ten years from now. You will be talking about your new ranch and your sweetheart with a ring.

We cannot hear your voice; we can only imagine it through your writing. You hear your thoughts as you write so you know what you mean and know where thoughts begin and end. When I read what you write it is all run together. I do not know where a thought begins, ends, or continues on in a different direction. Sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period.

You want to "sound" good to people who read your writing. It makes people take you more seriously and what is the point in writing if people cannot understand you any way? Write better and you may have a bigger ranch, a richer wife, make that a prettier wife, no, richer, yeah richer wife, and a meaner pickup truck and a sweeter dog. You are much like others your age and don't quite grasp the importance of leaving others with a favorable impression.

About your hunting problem- I think that you should give your grandpa's buddy another chance. You said the buddy may retire soon. The problem will be solved for a few years then. Old age will eventually change things for all of us so nothing will be permanent.

The best way to get that property you want is to get a good education, work hard, and live within your means so that you can start saving for your dream. I, for one, hope that all of your dreams come true and that you shoot the biggest buck of your life when you are 96 years old, right from the front porch of your ranch, with great grand children cheering you on.

Good luck- Bob

Kidd,

I would get your own property to hunt either lease it with some friends or try to get in a hunting club. If there isany public land check in to it but check the rules for the public land an put that blind to use. I wish you luck that is not the last time you we have problem with people as you grow up. The most important is how you respond each time. You should always learn something from the encounters to better yourself an move on with life.

Kidd this is directed in a teaching manner, not a criticizing one.

You might as well learn now, that communication skills are very important in life. Being in a hurry doesn’t, excuse one from having to communicate effectively. It’s a message board, just wait until you do have time to properly type things out. Otherwise you are going to get the comments that you have. Not everyone is going to be a Pulitzer winning author, but at least try to use grammar, punctuation and sentence structure.
