Which Broadhead I need help!!!!!
I am on my second year or bowhunting and even though I am only 15yrs old I know alot about the sport, but i have one question. I just saved up and bought a brand new matthews Legacy and a set of easton a/c/c arrows. I can't seem to decide what broadhead to use with those arrows does any one have any suggestions? It is hard to decided because they are a really small diameter shaft. But the broadhead has to be fixed blade not mechanical they are illegal in California.

b-rice, you'll get all kinds of opinions on this and it mostly amounts to what various individuals have had personal success with. Like you, I shoot a Mathews. I have tried several brands of broadheads over the years and have settled on 100 gr 3-blade Muzzys, which I stick on the end of Beman ICS 400 arrows. They work for me.

Lots of great choices out their. A few of my top picks would be Muzzy 3 or 4 blade 100 grn, rocky mountion ti-100, Magnus stinger, Golden key deadhead 100 grn, wasp sst's, thunderheads, or steelforce. All of these heads are good to excellent. For the record my head of choice is the Muzzy 4 blade 100 grn.

I don't think you could go wrong with a Muzzy, especially to start out with. My advice would be start out with Muzzy and if you need to, experiment with other heads from there. But, there is a very good chance that you may not find another head any better and stick with the muzzy. As far as prefence to 3 or 4 blades, or weight of the head, I think that you won't go wrong with any of the combinations over 100 grains. Personally, my preference is the 145 grain 4 blade head.

muzzy 3 blade 100gn. is one for one with me!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I won't switch until I have a reason to. And yeah........ that's cool that you saved the money to buy a bow on your own. Shows you're really into the sport. Good Job and Good Luck!!
