Ever do this?

RE: Ever do this?
the idea of spreading around a lot of smell, rather than a big pile of apples in one place works, but I think that juice itself would be too thin, and attract bugs too much from the sugar. It takes more time, but the apple in the sock thing, or just grinding a few apples into the bark of trees in an area would work better. I'll find trees that are right about 20, 30, and 40 yards from my stand, grind an apple into the bark, and for a few days will have a good smell attractant, and a visible yardage marker.

Years ago, I poured a gallon of cider on a rotted tree stump. They tore it apart. Apple trees were scattered around the property so, it wasn't to foreign of a smell. I don't know how well it would work in a location where there were no apple trees.
