If I've seen a mature buck more than once in the same spot, you can bet I'll be hunting that very spot only the times when the wind is in my favor. Of course during peak rut the bucks will wander looking for does but at some point if that mature buck's main area is not disrupted he will return. I saw the same buck 3 times in the same place during the season while doing inseason scouting, but couldn't hunt that spot until after peak rut. I seriously hunted him twice soon after and took him in that exact spot the week of Thanksgiving.....after the first firearm season.
