Nice CT. doe
I shot this doe today at 1640 hrs.The deer had come in from behind me with 5 other slick heads and stopped on a ridge about 25 yards away, offering me no shot opportunity due to thick brush. Finally this doe took the lead and headed off the ridge stopping in a clearing 10 yards in front of my stand and came to a stop.I drew back and shot hitting the doe tight to the left shoulder.the arrow passed completley through and stuck about six inches into the ground on the exit side.Upon the hit the deer mule kicked and took off striaght downhill from me where I heard it crash.Total distance traveled was approx 85 yards.the blood trail was incredible;it started about 5 yards from the initial hit and turned to a river right up to the point where it tipped over.I shot the deer with my 68 lb.Pearson/McPherson Edge;spitting out out a CX 250 maxima hunter tipped with a 100 grain Wasp boss bullet.I also had a homemade lighted nock on the other end.First time I ever tried one in a hunting situation.I must say it was pretty sharp seeing that arrow glowing through the air on its way to the target. The deer dressed out at 115 lbs.

RE: Nice CT. doe
rutt, that's a great doe. Congratulations and I'm glad to see someone out there still doing it and making it happen. It's a breath of fresh air for the forums too. Reminds me while we're here and helps set the tone.
Way to go rutt, nice work.
