Awesome story I hunted gators for the first time back in Sept in Lousiana...........it was alot of fun.........congrats on a great hunt.

Yes, both hides are at a tanner in Sebring. I am having them tanned a chocolate brown. Don't know what i am going to do with them yet.

I've been on several gator hunts, but have never tried to take one with a bow. We've got gators everywhere down here. They are as thick as flies. I've also caught a few on top water baits while fishing. Of course not the size in the pictures. There may be several ways to cook it, but the best way is still fried.

Congrats. Sounds like a great time. I have never hunted gators, but have had the meat on several occasions. Very tasty.
