Default The Huntley Way?

What do you all think of this program on Versus? The host Huntley Ritter is a well known movie actor that lives in L.A. I like the guy because he seems as real as anyone I've watched on T.V. I wonder how much ofhis passion for hunting is realized by his actor colleagues and if it affects their acceptance of him since most Hollywood types are very liberal and extremely urban.

I agree I think that of all of the hunting shows on versus and outdoor channel his is the best. He just seems more down to earth and excited about hunting then the other guys who you can tell are faking. Maybe since he is an actor(which I didnt know until now) he can fake it better, who knows. Also one thing I like about his show is that I feel they show more unsuccesful hunts, where they tried and tried but did not kill a "trophy", which is a much better representation of hunting as a whole.

Yes...I agree that he kind of reflects a more genuine behavior that is easier to relate to. Also, he can be funny and make you laugh without putting on a contrived skit like most of these "yahoos" do.

I love the show, but I don't recall ever seeing him acting in a movie or any other nonhunting show. . . .

I like his show!! I just caught it on this past weekend and he took a friend from LA. and an actress turkey hunting. It was the first time she ever touched a gun and was a good show. I am for anyone taking new people into the woods, so cudos to him.. Walt

I saw that show also and it really was good. You see, all you have to do is get those urbanites off the pavement and they turn into "animals"!

ya, i thought the show was real good.heis very original, had a good respect and knowlege for what he was hunting, and seemed to be better than the rest of them out there. he is a hell of a lot better than that joke of a hunter tread barta, even though tread does everything the hard way he has no "instinct" for hunting. tread is a good fisherman, not a hunter.
