I usually prefer mornings,,,but it really depends on which farm Im hunting.
2 of the farms I hunt Ive had more success in the am. On the other farm Ive had more success in the evening on one part of it.
If I had my choice it would be morning..

I have had equal success with morning and afternoon hunts. Prefer the morning. I hate blood trailing, field dressing,and dragging in the dark.

I love to walk in while it's dark and slither up a tree to watch the world wake up. I just love the fall leaves, smells and chill in the morning air. BUT... each place is it's own deal. It really depends what I'm hunting. Field edges, I like nights. Deep woods and travel corridors to bedding areas... I like mornings. It depends on how I can get to my stand. You know I can't really tell you which time of day I've shot more deer, but I do like having all that daylight to track and drag and take care of the dead deer.And like I said, when doyou kill most.... it depends on the setup and what groundyou're hunting.

I enjoy sitting out all day in my deer stand. It's relaxing to just sit and relax watching nature.However, I prefer mornings so I have the day to harvest and drink beer @ night. I guess it depends on how I feel when I get up.

...and how you feel when you wake up depends on how much of that beer you drank the night before.[8D] It's such a vicious circle isn't it.;)[&:][8D]

Mornings. I've killed more deer in the morning than in the evenings. As GMMAT said there is a finality to hunting the evening and I am always wondering if I am leaving too early when I hunt mornings, but still I pick mornings.

Over the years construction and people have messed up some good spots. This doesn't happen in the same spot everytime but I usually get a better sit in the am while all the people are in bed still or just gone to work.

To be honest with you, this is about the same way it always goes down for me to. I love the mornings and see more, but the moment of truth usually happens in the evenings.
