Great mount!!!!! Did you do the work or have it done?? Boiled or beetles?? I'm looking to do the same exact thing, excellent work!
I had the mount done by a friend, he boiled it, then he sets it in a sack of salt I think (not sure though). After that he cleans out the nasal cavities by hand to make sure all the tissue and such is gone. Then he bleaches the skull, and then stains the bottom of the antlers. He does a good job.

This mount can be done very easily at home! All you need to do is bury the head and leave the tip of the antlers stick out of the ground! Wrap the tips of antlers with aluminum foil thus preventing rodents from chewing them. In the spring when the ground thaws it will look like its been bleached after you hose off the dirt. Ive done one like that and put it in a glass case with a nightlight and leaves and sticks and fake dirt looks real nice!
