Won't be any 50 yard targets. I THINK 38 is as far as they go, but I'm not sure on that....

What are you shooting, ASA, IBO? At Worlds and a Cabelas shoot I've shot at 55 yard jakes.

Well Rob, to be honest, this is a learning process for me. I'm not sure what I'm shooting yet, I haven't educated myself quite that far. But I'm learning, and getting there. I know that all the shoots I've been too, I've not shot any that far, but I suppose if the need would arise I would hold high. Which is why 1 of them will be set for 42 yards....

I'm just going off of memory here, but I THINK in Matt's thread a while back he stated 38 yards was the max......I've been wrong before though.

RE: Pin Settings

For hunter class, Ipurposefully like to slow the bow down to the 280-290fps range and shoot a fattest shaft I can get to fly at that speed. This speed range gets mereally goodpin gaps, and honestly if your going to be competitive in hunter class you shouldn't be making yardage errors large enough to fall out of the 10 ring anyhow given the 35 yard max. If you know the distance these gaps were an advantage to me I felt. At 280-290fps the pin gaps that mobow said he uses are just about perfect,I believe I was shooting 20, 27, 32, 37 yard pins when I was in hunter class for the IBO, and 20, 30, 35, and 40 for ASA.

This year in MBR class I will likely be shooting 22, 28, 34, 40, 46.

FYI, IBO hunter class is supposed to be limited at35 yards, expect to see out to 37-38 though. ASA hunter class shoots out to 40 yards, but also expect to see 41-42 there as well.

I plan on setting my new sword up at 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40. I will be shooting ASA Hunter. I thought about starting at 22 but then when I shoot spots I won't have a pin set for the distance.
