I second that pheasantfanatic. We were hunting pheasants the other day when it was 3 degrees here in NW Kansas. Kept the birds sitting pretty tight and we had a good time.

It's funny what peoples perception of cold is. Besides hunting, I work outdoors at times and now anything over 10 degrees is decent!

That sounds like a heat wave to me. Yesterday was nostril hair freezing kind of cold. Minus one degree. Fortunately there wasn't any wind with it or it would have been real ugly outside.

It was cold here in Virginia this morning--20 degrees with the wind blowing is cold pretty much wherever you are.

I live in Quinter which is about 50 miles west of Hays on I-70. Small town with a Dairy Queen and some gas stations out by the highway. How about yourself.

I know guys, up north is sick, I would not survive!! How do you guys do it?? Im used to going bass fishing the weekend after deer season, not kidding at all, caught 10 bass last year on Jan 12th on The James River and kept catching them every trip. We get cold days. for us it is cold at 40. Typical Jan and Feb days often reach the mid to upper 50s, water temps on the river run 43-56 deg. any given day. keeps the bass biting all winter.

I tell ya what.... When I was an Ironworker, I pulled a job in Harbor Beach, Mi. in February. Hanging steel, 10 hours a day and it never broke -30 with the wind chill... That is minus. I aksed God to take away the cold for a week straight and I would never complain in the summer when it was 100 LOL.

It got down to 15 here last night, wish it wouldve done that a month ago. Now that the season is out, it gets cold enough to get the deer moving.
