RE: How to bring old hunter to tears
Those are truley tears of joy;) I wish my family had been hunters. I picked up bowhunting on my own seven years ago, wish it was when I was younger. Even though your Grandpa may not be able to get out and hunt like he use to, I can still see the passion in his eyes!!!

RE: How to bring old hunter to tears
Way too cool, Gary.
I wish my family had those kinds of memories from hunting camps. But I am the first in my family to be a serious hunter. Don't really know where it came from. I just got bit by the bug a while back. I usually don't do things half way. It's all or nothing. |
RE: How to bring old hunter to tears
Hell, it brings tears to my eyes. What a great gift and keepsake. I bet he looks at it every 2 minutes. Just fantastic.
And to think... all my grand children will be able to blow up and frame are pictures of blue undies. LOL:D |

Wow, that's a great picture. I often find myself staring at the countless pictures hung throughout our hunting cabin of the years gone by. It was a totally different life back then, and it makes me feel as if I'm almost there, too. Great post.

RE: How to bring old hunter to tears
And people wonder why we hunt, thinking it is only about killing animals.....How little they really know. THAT is what this is all about, right there.

That's cool Germ. Nice pic. Those older pics with a bunch of gun hunters around an old vehicle are just cool. Very cool.
That's the kind of pic. they should put in a museum.. the museum of men who believed in tradition and putting dinner on the table. A museum I'd like to visit. |
