hunting rest
 

i am going to be in the market for a new rest for my 06 Reflex Highlander.

the bow is used for hunting and nothing more. i shoot more targets and 3d rounds than alot of pure hunters, but its all FOR hunting and i dont switch out anything for target or hunting purposes.

right now i have a nap 1000 prong rest on it. works fine...but it aint idiot proof. i know i want a containment rest...only makes sense on a hunting bow. i like to nock an arrow and lay my bow across my summit viper...missed a chance at a shot at a nice buck this season because of that..never put the arrow on the rest. ended up hitting full draw and watching my arrow pop off the string...

really thinking about a QAD LD or HD..i dont mind the price tag...IF its worth paying for.

my biggest thing is having something fail...i know i know a WB cant really fail...i just dont like WBs...too much contact for too long for me...

what do you guys recommend?? really thinking about ordering my Viper sites and rest here shortly...going to put another couple days in at work over break and have a decint(for me) income tax return coming soon...would like to get the bow all rigged up by spring so i can get er dialed in and tuned up good...

Check out the trophy taker full containment rest. It has the best of both words.....

well i use the trophy taker the new one for 07. for that bow i would say that one or trophy rige for ez tuneing.

look at the QAD ultra rest full containment ,stays that way on slow let down and a drop away when you shoot . very nice rest

vital gear Kaz away for the Win. Unbelievable containment and very quiet. you could hold your bow upside down and the arrow wouldnt even move. all my proshop guys swear by em and I am a believer too!

If the bow is just for hunting, you cant beat the whisker biscuit. It truley is idiot proof. But if you want a dropaway, then go with the QAD, its just as good and even better.
