A few cool pics from yesterday.
I was hunting in IL yesterday and found a shed from last year buried in the leaves.
![]() ![]() Then I visited my friend Bob's taxi shop. This is the buck I have the sheds from last year. I also saw him in a bean field this summer on the farm I hunt. He was killed across the road by a neighbor. Scord 188+ gross. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He will soon be mounting this pair of locked bucks. The big guyscored 192+ gross with 2 tines over 15" long and the smaller one is in the 140's. They were killed during shotgun season in Calhoun County, IL. Both were still alive ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Seeing bucks that big are almost like seeing a completely different species of critter than the ones I am used to seeing and hunting after.

You know, I don't think I could in good conscience shoot a buck that was locked up with another. Maybe get up close with a gunand shoot a horn off or something so they could get free. I saw on a video or a TV show a couple years ago where a guy separated two big bucks by sawing off a horn with a chain saw. I mean, how much of a hunt or skill is involved in shooting a critter that's the same as tied up.
