If they were so worn out that you could get close enough to saw an antler off, they would probably die anyway from stress. And if they weren't completely wore out, they might kill you while you were trying to free them.

They were free rangeing, not in a pen or anything. I would still consider them real trophies.

Yep, whenever I need my antler fix, I just visit my buddy Bob's shop. It's usually good for a OVERDOSE of bone.

Hey Dan, I bet you got a shirt and cap just like those.

Them Illinois bucks don't suprise me anymore on there size! They keep showing up year after year. There doing something right there, unlike Minnesota!

That's because all we have out here is flat land loaded with corn and beans, so they stuff themselves 24/7. The big ones get cagey though. Lots of pressure on public land, and the private stuff is the going the way of the hunting lease.
