man he had a blast... had to crank up the poundage a bit cuz he was makin it look WAY to easy... he's up to about 28lbs now, not bad for a 6yr old... several guys there with their kids, couple young girls, between 10-15 yr old... dad's were shooting a little, just to demonstrate for the kids (myself included)... figured out i've got some major tuning to do on my bow, could see the arrow tailin out a bit so i think i need to realign my rest a touch, need to put a couple twists in the string and take a couple out on the cable, found a couple loose screws that were rattlin a touch... one of the dad's had a bowtech black knight, OMFG is that thing a friggin animal, a bit loud and you could see a bit of a jump, but man was that thing FAST and this guy was puttin groups together that i was amazed at... every group had at least 3 of his 6 arrow touching each other and was puttin 'em inside of a spot the size of a silver dollar... at any rate, we had a blast and my boy is really taking to this well... he's listening to instruction very well, relaxing and takin his time waiting for his shot to come to him... he's getting a bit smoother on his release where he was kinda punchin it a bit at first... at 20yds he was able to get a few good shots in the boiler room on some of the targets, not bad considering he's pretty much going instinctive at this point, I'm gonna give him another couple sessions of practice on form/technique before we get him using a peep and a site...

Sounds like you got yourself a new hunting buddy. They make much better equipment for kids now than they did when mine were young. It wont be long and he will be telling you what your doing wrong

Simply awesome! Boy, there cannot be anything greater than having your children share in a hobby and/or sport with their parents. It is great for both parent and child.
I cannot wait till I can share archery with my two boys.
Congrats on a great night!

This is just one more great thing about hunting. So many of my early memories of growing up involve hunting with my Dad.
