I would not spend my money on land, a good wall tent with a good stove can be moved anywhere I want to on public land here out west. Its like a mobile cabin.

There isn't even a bit of hesitation on this one........I left a piece of my heart there to pick up at a later date.

100% Montana.

It has every game animal and trout stream, river and lake a guy could ever want and more.

Yeah I always wondered why you left Montana (fly fishing guide right?) and came East. It's usually the other way around

For me, if I could pick one state...Montana or Idaho. Idaho has BEAUTIFUL scenery and plenty of hunting opportunities. I do love PA though, even if it isn't the top whitetail state, there's a good herd, GREAT fishing, and land is relatively affordable (except where Matt lives)

Yepper, nothing wrong with Mt., but Sask and Ab. have some nice trophy whitetails and mulies. Why is it the grass is always greener on the other side?

Rob,you just described Idaho and Montana. My wife wont come with me.I have asked!
Exactly. I tried for 15 years and she says it would be too cold.

So I'm trying Missouri now!

What is this, a LOCATION thread.[8D]

Wow, so many states to pick and it really depends on the species. I'd love a spot with plenty of elk, whitetail, mule deer, pronghorn, black bear, turkeys etc...sorta narrows it.
Out west I take it! Thats my dream Rob! Think it could happen?
