mauser when you go to the bow shop check out some of the package deals, you have to watch them close from what I have heard, some of them have cheap accessories, I know Browning has good quality accessories.

i kinda like the way brownings look and i know if it carries the browning name its a quality product..i will take a look a ta few of their package bows..then maybe as i advance say next year and know what i want to be better i will buy...but right now 500 for all is about the best i can do...and i will be at the bow shop as soon as i get a job which i plan to do the week after im 16 so say somewhere around mid april for me to be shopping..thats why im looking to find stuff out now so i dont look dumb walking in...that will give me 5 solid shooting months with my new bow..camo im good i just bought nd i dont believe in all the scent garbage..but my bowhunting jacket will be my chem suit jacket which is charcol lined which is scent proof and i take some precautions like letting them air out for a few days before the hunt and things like that..i ground hunt with my rifle and have them at 20 yds and i move alot..i think i should be fine 20ft up...all i gota add is a good stand which i decided on already....thanx alot guys..i will look at brownings and post another post asking about whatever i think looks decint..thanx alot

This has been posted here before, but it's a huge asset for begginers and the seasoned alike. http:/www.huntersfriend.com

Check out the bow comparison guide. Pick what you looking for and it will catagorize them for you! It's been updated for 2003.

Also check out the compound bow selection guide. VERY imformative on bow mechanics and how the whole thing works. Good luck!
