Legal Restrictions
The legality of your bow poundage to hunt in Canada is a minimum 40lbs. So I would say yes and a ton of peopleI know ,actually lower their poundage in the colder weather to low 60's and into the 50's. So I would say yes to your question.Best of luck hunting.

Well i was told that anything above 40 or 45 can kill a deer. Usually your state has a specific weight u must shoot. I think u will be fine.

It's not really all about how fast your shooting. It's all about KE(kinetic energy). What's your complete arrow weight? Unless it has changed, the recommended amount of KE for mech heads is right around 50-55lbs. That could be off....just what I remember reading at one time.

Here is a calculater for you.

When my oldest boy was 14, he was shooting 51lbs and killed his first deer withthat weight- a 128 inch buck. Just double lung 'em like he did and you'll be fine.

Depends on how much penetration you want. That sounds a bit light for those heads unless you have really long draw length and a really effecient bow.

My opinion anway.
