Default Anyone ever heard of 97.3fp of KE?

The guys at my shop did a test last night with the new Airborne 82nd....and that's what they came up with.

I'm doing most of this off memory.....but I'll post the exacts, tomorrow.

*500gr Easton 2214 (?) shot through a WB (note: WB was for carbon shafts)

*296fps (I believe this was it)

Is that impressive.....or what?[8D]

Yes, that's impressive. We've got some Hoyt's doing that and then some.

mobow....I had NO IDEA! That was the highest I've ever heard of.

What about you? I think the highest I'd ever heard of before that was the high 80's.

I know, Tony. For my short-range shots on smallish whitetail deer....I'm gonna shoot the heaviest log of a carbon I can find.....and watch it wallop.

I saw one the other day hit the upper 90's......BUT, this guy is shooting a 32" draw, which helps. I forget the exact numbers, but he was kickin a 425 grain arrow in the 3teens I believe....It was unreal.

It's still KE, huh?

I'm wondering what CAN be achieved......100# limbs......31"+ draw?

Staggering.

The bow they used is a 29" draw with a BC of 71#'s.

Keep in mind guys, this is at 70lbs............

500 grain arrow - 30" draw - 70lb 82nd - 98.62ft/lbs........

You better hope the 3D targets are staked down pretty good so you don't knock them over, and you better stock up on Woody's lube!!

OMG and I already know my ACC's are miserable to pull from a target Hell, I'm shooting through my Morrell with my Allegiance at 79 ftlbs. It's the points tho that does it.

What kind of lube again? [8D]
