Not sure if this deer is 2.5 or 3.5 but I doubt he is any older. I have passed numerous bucks this size already this year but that left side G2 suckered me in. I haven't scored him but I doubt if he scores anyhigher than 120.

Ipreach to myson and nephew that if they must shoot a buck, shoot a small 4 point 1.5 yr old or a really big one and leave the "almost good deer" for next year. Looks like I am a bit of a hypocrite right now.

Great buck and congrats! I could tell even before I seen what state you were from that the buck was a Texas buck. Texas bucks stand out to me for some reason, again congrats on your trophy buck!

OK....I would never question whether that buck was a shooter...

ALSO comments such as "I should have let him grow at least one more year" show that you are unhappy with your harvest. Statements like that detract from the overall true value of a harvest and an animal due to it not being what you or some stereotype wanted. I feel that is selfish. That animal is beautiful!!!!! CONGRATS!!!
