Default Antlers size!

Hello everyone,

Over the last 5 months, i have noticed some problems with Deers antler growth this year ! maybe its just me, but as anyone else noticed it? meaning its looking like the deer arn't getting the nutrition they need for true antler development. most of the Bucks that ive been seeing, should have alot bigger racks then what they do now last years 4x4's should be decent size 5x5's or bigger the mass is not comming along like it should be! although it could be because of the drought this year !! anyways let me know what you think!!!

I think it is probably your area more than anything. The first thing is....don't expect last years 8 pointers to be 10 pointers. As far as lacking mass, could easily be genetics or nutrition/food supply in you area.

In Texas, its been a very good year. We had a good wet spring and summer, so our deer are big and fat.

Have you seen some of the racks on here? I believe it must be a local thing.
