Default New Law Needed

Monday morning I met with the people who were shotgun hunting the property to the east of mine. I informed them that I had relatives who would be sitting on the property line between mine and the one they were hunting. The land owner then told them not to be shooting west of the road that splits the property in half. That road is a good 500 yards from my property line. Well they set up and started pushing the property and they put some blockers along the south property line on the west side of the road they weren't supposed to be shooting across. When the deer broke out, one of these inbred ignorant SOB's started blasting away at the deer. When his shotgun was empty, my son came out of his stand, walked over to the sorry buttwipe laid down his shotgun and cold cocked him. One of this braindead's slugs missed my son's head by just a couple of feet. I had been sitting down by the pond when the shooting started and walked up when it ended just in time to see my boy drop this guy. I ran over and made sure the boy didn't hurt this guy any more. When he got up he said he was going to file charges. I reminded him what both the property owner and I had told him. He claimed he didn't hear those instructions. My boy said something to the effect of "if I'm going to get charged, I'm going to make it worth my while!" I held him back and then informed the sorry excuse of a human being that when law enforcement arrived, I was going to file reckless use of a firearm charges against him. I ******ed the guy back to the property owner and told him what had happened. When his whole hunting party arrived back, they had shot 12 deer and only located one. The property owner told them to leave and never return. I went out that afternoon on his land and found three of the deer within an hour. I drug them out and called DNR. They came by and took the deer to feed the homeless. They also told me that they were going to investigate further after I told them the story. Hopefully, there will be some guys getting fined and having their hunting privileges removed.

Anyway, I think we need a new law that requires an intelligence test. Anyone who scores lower than a rock should not be allowed to own a weapon!!!!

Welcome to being a landowner[&:] I have had .22 shells bouncing around my head. According to some, I should point out where the squirrels where at, and help my fellow hunter, instead of ducking.

Good luck AF, I would love to sit down and share some stories with you. I can tell you the only wayto stop acts like the above isto call the DNR everytime!!!

I forgot to say that I normally try to resolve things in a non-violent manner but, since the guy who shot in my son's direction was well over 300 lbs, I was really proud of my boy dropping him all the way down with one punch! Children always catch you off guard and make you proud!!!

I'm sure the massive amounts of adrenaline running through your son at the time helped make that punch sting a little worse.....tell him congrats for dropping him as well.

I am a peace-maker myself....but sometimes....well....you know!
